Who is it for?
Shaun primarily works with parents and carers of children aged 5–12, delivering therapeutic support informed by low-intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy interventions. This parent-led approach aims to empower families with practical strategies to support their child’s emotional wellbeing in everyday life. Where appropriate, Shaun also provides one-to-one therapeutic support for young people aged 12–18.
How does it work?
To get started, send an email to to arrange a free 15-minute informal chat. This is an opportunity to discuss your concerns, ask questions, and explore whether Westgate Wellbeing may be the right fit for your child and family.
If appropriate, an initial assessment can then be booked to gain a fuller understanding of the difficulties being experienced and to consider the most suitable next steps.
Following the assessment, Shaun will discuss his recommendations. If Westgate Wellbeing is the right service for your needs, a tailored programme of support will be offered: this is typically six 1-hour sessions, delivered either at home or online.
If the assessment shows that another service would be more suitable (for example, if higher-intensity support is needed or the difficulties fall outside of his therapeutic remit) he will provide guidance and signposting to appropriate alternative services.
At the end of the agreed support, there is also the option of a review session four weeks later to monitor progress and discuss any further next steps before discharge.
How much does it cost?
Demand for children's services are high in Thanet, but Westgate Wellbeing believes quality mental health support should be both effective and accessible: which is why fees are intentionally kept below many comparable private therapy services. Assessments are priced at £60 per hour, and therapeutic sessions are priced at £55 per hour. A set intervention of 6x therapeutic sessions is offered as a bundle price of £300 total. Payment can be made via cash or bank transfer, and will be arranged at the point of assessment. School workshops start at £200 per session, more details can be shared upon email enquiry.
